End of term

The last reports have been written, the final farewells – to both pupils and departing colleagues – made, and the obligatory end-of-term faffing has taken place. The next three days will be spent on DofE expedition, when hopefully it will be sunny but not too hot, and then I have two weeks to get everything sorted for the department. I’ll upload the detailed schemes of work to TES next week – probably on Wednesday – and then need to sort out the schemes of work for our legacy U6th and the GCSE.

Our text books have arrived for the teachers, so we can all get planning over the holidays. The next time we have kids in the building, I will be HOD. Suddenly it all feels very real, and a little bit daunting.
